Is this the e-fan that everybody is using?

I need to convert to e-fan and get rid of the clutch due to my intercooler piping setup, (using the NA TB). And I was wondering if this is the right year of fiero to use the fan out of? I read aaron cakes efan article, but if anybody has any other suggestions for e-fans, thatd be great

I saw this, and i think i remember somebody saying somethign about using an escort fan...or maybe it was a taurus fan..

I use the escort e-fan, moves tons of air, plus it has 2 prongs that you can use with the power feed, one will have it work at "high" capacity, other is "low" just meaning it has 2 variable fan speeds.

The Taurus fan is an excellent option as well.

don't worry about the odd shaped shroud...just mount is however you can and it'll work great.

the escort fan is actually a 3 speed, that's what I was using

one wire is low, one wire is super, and both wires are medium

Same fan im running right now and if youre nervous about wiring the relay and thermoswitch summit sells an all in one unit (summit part no DER-16738) for $20. It might cost a few dollars more than doing it yourself but it looks nice and makes installing it a snap.

That notch in the bottom right is just right for clearance for the heater hose connection.

I used the type of Fiero fan that you have posted at the top of this page with a Painless Wiring Fan controller for two years and my car always ran HOT! I put the stock mechanical fan and shroud back in and my temperatures are 15-20 degrees cooler. I'll never use a cheap electric fan again...you get what you pay for.
