e brake ratcheting removal

I know in some cars (i think it was the corolla) you can modify the ebrake so that it no longer ratchets by doing something to the button and that you can set it up so you have a choice of wether or not it will ratchet by turning the button is anyone aware of such a mod for the rx7

this would be a good mod for a beginner drifter as they can use their ebrake without having to worry about it locking and without keeping their hand permanetly attached to it just a little flick and boom your sideways and the brake will just fall back down

Well... it's not high tech, but you could just tape the button down.

what you are asking about. pictured above for s13, is a spin turn **** aka drift ****. you take out the spring and the ebrake button and screw the **** in. the brake will now raise and fall. when you want to use the brake for parking you simply lift up and push the **** forward, and it will work like normal. I happen to have one that I will let go for 25 shipped. its silver and I am paypal verified.

Just take your E-brake handle apart, and pull the little tooth out that ratchets. It's probably just held on with a rivet.

Or hell, I'll customive one on my parts car, so that it doesn't ratchet anymore and sell it to you.
