dynoing thursday, give me a # guess :)

mods in sig. new motor (from kevin landers) is very strong and healthy and has a medium streetport that made a very noticable topend improvement. its a mustang dyno btw so i think the numbers are usually lower?

i'm guessing 221whp/230tq @10psi

Just curious, but what's the point of dynoing with race gas? It's not like you run that on the street or almost ever, so what's the point? I mean sure you can know what you WOULD run with it, but you'll almost never be running like that, right?

because i can support 10psi on pumpgas (at the limits of my fuel setup) but i'm using racegas to be safe... and the 12psi run will be for ***** and giggles (since i definitely dont have the fuel to run that much boost on pumpgas)

I made 217/185 @ ~6500rpm @6-7psi with just a hair larger port, course that's with a hybrid turbo, too.

Ya your right I go through cars like I go through girlfriends.....
But on the real though, The buyer is willing to pay what its worth to me.. Im going to get either a new Honda CBR RR or this mint Porsche 944 turbo my neighbor is selling.... 85k orig miles!! always garaged too!

But my better side tells be the maintanace will be a bitch, Either way Im going to Seven Stock this year!!!! fianally!!

when I get another rx7 it'll be an FD..

heres the Full printout:
https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...postid=2740643

You should try and make it here this next month.... mabie even bring a pimped out built engine to sell there or some hybrid turbos..I see Seven stock as a massive opportunity

I have already started to do some light rx repair work here for fun .... changing exhaust gaskets & installing mods etc.

Keep em rotating

Your A/F is all over the place and you're pretty lean on the most powerful run...w/ the AFC you should be able to get that smooth.

Yes it would be good to really tune the a/f more... but she runs great now so its not a priority

The Walbro keeps the car safe @ 10psi. Reted has said over and over that 12-13 psi is ok w/ the walbro and a full exhaust + FCD though is right around the limits of the stock turbo.

I wouldnt dabble in 11-12 psi even with a warlbro, its just asking for trouble... Trust me I tried it and I had a cracked apex to show for it

Just because you can, dosen't mean you should. The more fuel mods you have, the more headroom for safety you have...

I have no problem running 12 psi without worrying. EGT's are dead on and I've got the Rtek7 1.5 ECU in addition to my Walbro and GReddy FMIC. According to Henrik, maker of the Rtek7 chip, a car with a stock turbo and stock injectors and fuel pump will start running out of injector at 10 psi below 3800 rpm. More boost than that will run leaner than the stock ECU was programmed for but stock is pretty damn rich. It's a question of how safe do you want to be. With my 1.5 pulling out some timing, bumping up the primary duty cycle and kicking the secondaries on earlier you eliminate the lean spot below 3800. The walbro keeps things safe on the top end where fuel pressure is higher but on my car boost falls off from a peak of 12 down to around 7 (stock boost control solenoid, ported wastegate).

Reted knows his stuff, I'm inclined to trust him. Past 14 psi, the stock turbo's seals go bye-bye and with a stock top mount it's pushing more heat than air. Not sure about a FMIC car. I'm patiently waiting for Rtek version 2 w/ 720cc secondary control for additional safety.
