Dyno Tune was today....

well i went down to ralph at ground zero today to get my car dyno tuned. It was going great until we discovered that i have a leak somewhere. i'm losing major boost. we couldn't get past about 11 maybe 12psi. so basically now i have to take my turbo off inspect everything, and replace the intake manifold gaskests...

However, there is good news.

At about 11.5 - 12psi i made 295rwhp @ 7500 on a mustang dyno. People say to add about 8% to mustang dyno numbers....but i dunno. Once i fix my leak(s) i'm gonna go see what she can do...

Nice. Can you scan the graph and list your mods?

Nice! Thanks for sharing your runs and mods. Where does your turbo spool up. A friend of mine in North Dakota has that turbo and a microtech.

Good luck finding that leak. I hope you find it soon and get more great numbers.

Llew.

After reading your mods I wonder if you really have a "leak"

I also got a few PM's of a very similar, if not the same problem with the same turbo.

G Luck though, and please keep us posted if you find your "leak"

I'm pretty sure it is a leak because of the sound it makes once it gets to about 10psi. The turbo spins and spools great, i have not had any problems with that. But i think my problem might be a combination of having a boost leak, possible vacuum leaks, and slightly restricted exhaust at only 2.5 in. i have no cats or anything, but its still just not as open as i'd like. I dont think it is the turbo, or at least i certainly hope not.
