dyno test
i went to dyno test my 86gxl with about 160000 miles and the graph was all messed up going up and down after like 3500 rpm and at like 6000rpm it skips a little and the max hp was 144and the other one the was 133.3hp and 114.7torque and what i want to know why was the graph all messed up because it is suppose to go strait up and they told me it might be the plugs or wires but they are not that old

Yeah. Send it to dahmsj@rvvs.com and Ill put it on my webserver. It should be pretty easy to find out whats causing the hesitation based on rpms.

got old plugs in there, plus a good thing to do before you go to the dyno is make sure your car is in tip top condition, new plugs, wires, oil change, Tps, idle, ect, but a dyno is also a way to find out problems, not the best and pretty expensive too...

You think thats bad???
In all honesty, you only have a slight ignition break up there. Buy a new set of plug wires and ALWAYS go to the dyno with a BRAND NEW SET OF PLUGS! I don't care if your plugs are a week old, change them.
My ignition break up was way worse than yours! See the dyno run on my webpage below.
On my first couple runs it was bad. My plugs were about 1000 miles old when made the first couple runs. We changed the plugs on the dyno with new ones and I picked up 2 RWHP.
Since then I've replaced the stock NGK plug wires with Magnacore wires and installed 2 MSD Blaster coils with an MSD 6A. The car is so much smoother now!
