Dynamic chamber stays cool!

I went for a lil drive yesterday and I was gettin on it preaty hard for about an hour. Well anyways, when I got back to my house, I popped the hood to inspect for any damage I might have done in my adventure. Thankfully I found no problems. But as I was inspecting, I rested my hand on the dynamic chamber and to my surprise, it was very cool to the touch. It amazes me that this chunk of aluminum directly above the motor could stay cool after an hour of hard driving. It got me thinking about the effectiveness of a cold air intake. It also made me wonder why a top mount intercooler on a turbo would be such a horrible place to locate it. Somehow this thing stays cool, almost a cold feeling. I have done the throttle body mod; but I can't see that making that big of a difference. Oh well; just my thoughts.

The location above the motor not being hot is the main point.

Do you have any other cooling mod other than the TB mod? Stock everything else?

Unless you are sucking hot air in- the Dynamic Chamber should always be cool.
It will usually be a good bit cooler than the intake air being sucked in the filter.
Huh?? I'll explain-
The reason for this is the transition between atmospheric pressure and vacuum at the throttle plates.
It exhibits the same properties as an air conditioner.
You compress air- it heats up.
You expand, or evacuate the air, and it will cool- as you are drawing energy from it.
This is why coolant goes around the throttle body- it prevents the throttle plates from actually icing up!
It is constantly getting this flow of cooling air.
