ISO is a common gas line antifreeze additive. Not only will it help you pass emissions, but it will also clean the water out of your fuel system. Be sure to keep the mixture below 10%, so about 1oz per gallon of gasoline would be about right. Also, note that "winter" gas (aka oxygenated gas) from your local gas station already contains alcohol (ethanol, MTBE, or TAME). Personally, I would try to stay away from alcohol as much as possible, as it is more corrosive than gasoline, and it has less BTU's (ie power and economy) per gallon.

This MSDS sheet shows one particular gas line anti-freeze product which is 99% ISO.

Well HAILERS, this isnt my idea of fun, but unfortunately I dont have the money for a new cat system. But I will post results so everyone can learn from my experience.

Stop the madness....

Okay, here is the deal. After adding Garanteed to Pass, 3 bottles of alcohol, and a new ACV, all I have gotten is one test to pass. Here are the numbers
Previous Latest
HC Loaded 00412 00381
HC Idle 01101 00627
CO Loaded 06.42 04.19
CO Idle 02.07 00.65 (PASS!)

What does this say? It looks like it is feasibly possible to pass your vehicle on Alcohol. Me personally? I am going to run all that **** outta my brand new factory motor before I kill somethin. Some of these numbers were reduced by over 50%. But my guess is that this would work with a vehice with an almost dead cat. I think my cat is totally fried and I am gonna replace it instead of trying to explode my car....You be the judge.

Some of the larger metro areas do now.. Jefferson County (Louisville), does.. Luckily, i'm like 1 mile out of Jeff, into Oldham county.. no emissions here! mwhaha
