dumbass noob question... plastic trapazoid near top of each window/door frame?

what is it? its a little black trapazoid near the top of each windoe frame where the window seals are? what the hell does it do, no one i know has any clue

I'm pretty sure it's there to 'catch' the window and ensure the glass ends up in the run channel along the top when it's closed all the way. Especially if the window hardware gets a little worn.

I've wondered that as well, and I've seen it on other cars, not just FC's. I haven't really found a straight answer on it yet. My best guess is to reduce wind noise, but exactly how I dont know.
