one FD cooler really isnt enough. They should have had something like the crooked willow kit from the factory. And you wonder why FD's have heat problems.....

Why would you put one in front of the other. I used the stock oil cooler then ran the second fd oil cooler in where my brake duct were. I went from 210 normal cruising to 150 deg.. Your heat transfer is wrong. Meaning the heat that comes from one tansfers to the other. You might want to put the second oil cooler on top.

The car was built within a set of rules that don't allow modifications to the bumper cover that would make it feasible to move the coolers to the corners like is mentioned. Good idea, but that's out.
The coolers are stacked as well as possible within the space there is to work with. Go any higher with either and we limited airflow to the rad and raised water temps. It was tried. There is no where to go lower as the lower cooler sits well below where the stock undertray is on the bottom of the splitter. There are alternatives, this is how I did it, it works well, temps are fine, pressure is fine, etc, etc, etc. Like Dak points out there are concessions to total cooling. Seriously, got a better idea? Do it. Build it, test it, and go win some races.
With this setup we went from 250*+ on the stock single cooler to around 190-200* depending on ambient temps, traffic, etc. That's on a road race car that's at WOT much of the time. Simple, effective.
