Dual carbs+Race port=worth it?
Dual carbs+Race port=worth it?
I'm probably not going to go with a turbo because they are too much of a pain with boost control and lag and they are inconsistent. So I was looking at a dual carb setup and possibly a race port. Just a few ideas but here's what I want. Around 200rwhp on a N/A that will get decent mileage and be fine with every day driving. I've noticed a nice power increase with dual carbs but for the same price could I run a SAFC with bigger injectors and a higher flow pump? What would be a better solution fuel injection or dual carbs? And how badly does a street port or race port cut down engine life if any.
Dual carbs... Talk about *no* low end... And get that idea of decent gas mileage out of your head.. especially if you're thinking carb'd
Fuel injection is the better option for a daily driver. Theres no getting past that, period. And dual carbs is just..... makes me want to ask what warrants that.

1) you won't et decent mileage out of carbs... you probably won't even get "not good"
2) you'ld get the same power results from fuel injection AND have reliability AND driveability. (EDIT: AND low end)
