Yes, I think it's good (I forgot what I had to say ). VR-4's have it. I also seen it on this black Prelude (yuck).

It sucks a$$ for how I like a car to feel. Good for some, not for others. It'd be a boring world if we were all the same, no? When I push my car, it's to get the back way wide and keep it there. This rear steer feels unnatural. It gives at a point that you can't pin down and reels back in at another point, hopefully the same as where it gave out but it's not exact. Being that it's controlled by rubber bushings that were installed in early '89 (on my '89), they aren't as good and predictable as the engineers that devised them planned them to be. If you like them, replace them with OE units and see how that feels. Or replace them for $40 units that don't agree with the engineers that designed them.

If I drive it to redline in first, and then shift into second hard, the DTSS kicks in and the car gets kind of sideways (without breaking traction). I don't like that one bit.

Don't forget that the DTSS is two parts.... the "eliminator bushings" only eliminate the second part, the part where the outside wheel toes-in under heavy cornering. The first part, the part that comes on gradually under lighter cornering, is the compliance of the swingarm bushings themselves, allowing the outside wheel to toe OUT on cornering, and is something that is inherent in all swingarm-type suspensions. BMWs were known for the same handling quirks (basically amplifying understeer on acceleration and oversteer on deceletation) for the longest time until they stopped using swingarms in the '90s.

Hmmm, interesting. I see severe bushing wear in my future then.

I vote get rid of DTSS ASAP.

I had a shop put in the delrin bushings for me for $132.
If you like the rear end feeling like it's suspended by a rubber band - leave it stock. If you want to improve your lateral acceleration and steering input/feel at coenering limit get the delrin bushings.

did all FCs have DTSS? If not, how can you tell if it does?

All FCs came with them. That means all 2nd gens have them. FDs however do not.

Well our cars have this thing that is passive rear wheel steering sort of like a porche has. Under certain sideways gees the tires either toe in or out, to swing the backend quicker through the turn or something like that. Its why you feel like your going to lose control before you should when your flying through a turn. I'm not sure how to explain it very good. Someone please take over from here.

Strike 1, 2.... 3 your outa' there.

They are good for people who don't feel comfortable in RWD cars but those who want to push there cars to the limit its a must to eliminate them.

One problem I have been having, is my car is very prone to oversteer, and it has gotten me into trouble a few times. Basically, I have an '86 NA, base, so my ***** looser than a 2 dollar *****. Under moderate to extreme cornering, the rear doesn't feel at all planted, which causes me to change my input, and it eventually causes the rear to kick out. It is a nasty habit on my part, but if the rear was set up right, I wouldn't have to do it. Twice it has caused me to do a 180 on a 2-lane road...scary!

I think that anyone who feels comfortable driving, and wants to get better driving needs to get rid of it. I am as soon as I can afford it, but it's impossible to learn to drive these cars with the weird feedback you can sometimes get.

I hated it, i live on a road with quite a few s turns in a row. Im would do maby 5-10mph over nothing outragous and the car would feel like it was rolling off its tires aroudn the apex of each turn, it scared me the first few times but after that it just got annoying, and if i would be on the highway goingon around a long corner sometimes it would swing out then to, scared the **** out of me i thought i hit ice. When i get my car on the road i am getting rid of them asap

dtss sucks. it makes the rear feel too floaty and disconnected. if you like it then you drive to slow and probably have an auto.

No DTSS for me thank you. Im going to disable mine. It reminds me of HICAS in the s13 hatchback...not as unstable...but still a bit unnatural feeling
