I've noticed the same under brake snapping a lot as I've learned to drive, I think my DTSS is worn out. All the bushings in my car have about 190k on them, better get some cash together for it.

U can't buy just the bushing from mazda....you have to buy the entire floating hub from them....with the bushing. Nobody makes a bushing that does what the stock one did.

Not true...The stock DTSS bushings are definitely available from Mazda. Call Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda.

I didn't check Malloy. However, I pulled the part up on the mazda motor sports website.
Left FB01-49-130 Right FB01-49-140.
I know Motor Sports really doesn't like posting their prices so I wont...however I think if you priced those bushings at the dealership you would be looking at about 900-1000.

New, old, whatever. I first drove my '87 when it had 4K miles on it. I was autocrossing my old FB at the time and I hated the way the FC's handled. Later I found out what I was feeling exactly matched what Racing Beat describes the DTSS as doing. I put these bushings a couple of years later and have been happy with the handling ever since. In my opinion, removing DTSS (ever when it works right) is the best handling mod you can do to an FC. Let the flames begin.
