Unhappy drove for several miles and now idles below 1k Rpm's?

I drove to a friends house which is several miles in highway 215. pushing about 75-90mph.. and as soon as i exited the car idled strange below 1000 rpms. it felt like it was on "Limp mode" i was just struggling just kepping it idle just so it wouldnt stall on me. i finally got to my friends house. let it cooled for like 1/2 hour and then try to strart it and no good. not even the EGI fuse trick didnt work.. it cranks but wont start.

any suggestions what it might be... ?

Well, normal idle is 750 RPM, so... idling below 1000 RPM isn't bad.

However, if it's idling weakly, especially if it sounds strange (like a V8 with a hot cam or a lawnmower), do a compression test & confirm that all your apex seals are intact.

It's also possible that you lost an injector, or a coil pack went dead, or other such things.

You need 3 things for an engine to run: Fuel, spark, compression. If it's not starting, one of those isn't present (or not working properly). Check them all. It could be a bad fuel pump, or any number of things. Start eliminating things.
