dropping subframe soon, what else should i do

so this week i am going to get a great paycheck for all the extra hours that i have been working. with this bit of money i was initially looking to just get rear subframe mounts (mmr $52), and Rear camber adjusters (speed machine 189). and since i have to drop the rear subframe to install the mounts i am curious if there is anything else that i can replace while i am there. that way i only have to drop the subframe once and not twice.

thanks,
Zach

Well, it depends on the condition of the car. You can replce the diff mounts while youre there if they need it.

Another thing to do would be the trailing arm bushings.

suspension bushings usually need a press... or you can do what I did and get a torch and toast em out. ... but that takes a while.

I've replaced bushings without a hydraulic press before. It's a bit of a pain, but it's definetely doable. There's a writeup on doing the DTSS without a press. You can do the other bushings the same way.

dtss bushings i did myself with a press using that shade tree mechanic link a few weeks ago.

someone mentioned that i should get the adjustable toe links on another forum. but hy would i need those? my toe in the rear is already 0 and i dont ever plan on making it any different. what is the benefit of actually getting it? other than the obvious one of adjustability

They're said to hold adjustments better than stock (toe is adjustable stock). To use them properly I beleive you've also got to put in spherical bushings in the trailing arms and do some welding (could be wrong). It's not needed on anything but a full on racecar, and even then it's probably fine without it.
