Strap the car in the front too people.... Just because the car moves forward under acceleration doesn't mean you can skip the front strap. Whoever dynoed that evo needs to have their business taken over by obama.

On the other hand, we need more videos like this. Hell, the next one needs to be with the car just strapped on the front, I wonder what will happen.

Got the driveability tuned today... went to do start tuning some power pulls and it broke loose on the dyno. The Dyno room was real cold so we packed it in and put the heat on to get the tires and rollers a little warmer to get some traction. Looks like it'll be another day.

So you literally dropped the car off? You know you can tune everything in vacuum by yourself? You just start off rich and lean it out until the engine doesn't run smooth. That's it. Then you can put a few hundred boost free miles on it to break it in.

Yeah I've done it before on other cars. It's a real pain in the *** to get it right with the 85mm tb... And in my case, I'd rather pay the money (which I can't bawk at the cost), have the engine broken in, tuned, and trailer it home (car isn't registered and gets trailered to events anyway... So break in would be a little illegal) headache free, than have the frustration of doing it myself and dealing with police.... Plus I get satisfaction out of stimulating the economy

why must the engine be in the car for it to be tuned?

the shop would redo his driveability tuning. I know when people bring me half-tuned cars I throw everything out 99% of the time. Driveability tuning is the hardest part.

yeah, The simple fact that most people think tuning is adjusting the fuel curve. how many customers do you get that are running the stock timing map, but say there engine is "tuned"

He said the car wasn't tuned well enough to put some miles on the engine. Can you both agree that with a few minor fuel adjustments and a stock timing map one can break in a fresh engine? I don't want to pay to a have a fresh engine tuned when the engine is still in the break-in phase.

actaully i never said it wasn't tuned well enough to drive..... i said the car wasn't registered and didn't feel like dealing with the police or the headache of tuning it to street drive enough to put miles on it when i could just as easily pay someone else to tune drivability, break it in, and tune it for power in one shot while I am at work increasing my income.

The car was fine to drive, and made 402whp on a completely stock S4 t2 short block with 50k on it.... I had a walbro pump fail and it popped a seal on the rear rotor, so i rebuilt it.
