Drivers side mirror

I have a red 89 GXL, and lucky me, someone took off my drivers side mirror while i was at work today. My insurance doesn't cover that kind of damage(or any damage, to my car), so i'm wondering what the cheapeast/easiest way to fix this will be? Mostly what broke was what is arround the mirror, although about half of the glass itself is broken too. Didn't really try out the motors, they may or may not work(i have power mirrors).

Any help appreciated, thanks.

Just a quick glance on Ebay:

here's one for a T2:

and here:

and here's a series 5 mirror:

so they are pretty common

Hmm, really would prefer a series 5 red, if i had to go series 4 i guess i'd need both or the car would look funny. Anyone know what it would cost if i did get a black one, to have it paint-matched to red, so it ooked like the rest of the car?

I have a pair of Series 4 T2 mirrors in Red i got as part of a parts trade. Paint is really glossy as the car they came off had a fairly recent paint job. But, can't tell you if it was repainted S4 Red or S5 Red.

I'm in the Pomona area. You're welcome to come by this weekend and see if they match. PM me if interested.

Best play would to get a S5 Mirror in Red. Bolt on, your done if the paint on it isn't badly faded from age.

Not red, try and find a Black one for cosmetic reasons and repaint.

I'd guess at least $50 to repaint.

Would be nice, but different bay area. I'm in san jose Is S4 redthat different from S5 red? I'm realy not that familiar. How much would you want for both mirrors, so that my sides match if i have to go with the S4's.

How obvious is it going to be if i put S4 sunrise red mirrors on my S5, with blaze red? There are like 0 RX-7's driving arround here so i'm not sure how much of a difference that is in color, never seen it.

I need the drivers side for a 86 plain jane N/A. I'm going to the wreck yard tomorrow to pick up a steering box/column for a 82. I'll let you know what they charge for one tomorrow.

Almaden Mazda

They have a very RX7 savy parts department there. They might have paint chips for both red's. Also, will sell parts at 20% discount if you ask right.

FYI, new one's come prepainted to your car's color. But, even at that discount, I would guess expensiveeee. Ask to be sure.

I have a friend from San Jose that is down for the weekend. PM me if you want me to send the mirrors back up there with him.
