Driver side engine bay harness question.

Not the harness with the injector clips on it. But the one that has connectors and grounds that connect to the starter and tranny.

First of all. Is this part of the harness the same through all the fc3s? Turbo and non-turbo?

And most importantly, I need to know if there is any important connectors or GROUNDS on this part of the harness that have anything to do with my a/c control panel, dummy cluster, and Tach, fuel, oil press, water temp gauges.

I ask this cause i had a lot of loose wires in that area when i was changing my tranny. My pops pushed(possibly forced) the wires out of the way so they wouldnt be in the way of tranny intall and now everything i mentioned above(a/c control panel, etc) stopped working.

I think it gotta be a ground of some sort. ALso. more loose wirs do to diff in s4 and s5 tII sensors on the tranny. the s4 has connection while s5 only has 2.

Help. electronics and wires just arent my thing.

There Is A Main Harness Ground That Is Held Into Place By What Looks To Be A Tranny Bolt. It Is On The Back Of The Block Near The Firewall On The Drivers Side. Kind Of Near The Oil Filter.

Check! That one does go on the tranny bolt. ANd that one is connected.
U got the general area down. I need a wire diagram or something for all the grounds in that area and connections. From that main ground(on the tranny) to the starter connections and tranny connectors. I got about 4 to 5 loose wires.

ANymore suggestions?

Are the backlights to your gauges working? Sounds like a power issue, not really a grounding issue. Everything your describing grounds to the chassis under the dash. Ive recently redone EVERY piece of wiring on the car, PM me with a more detailed description of what isnt working, i may be able to pinpoint where all the problems are comming from.

ok. Yes The back lights work. The dim for the back lights fliker sometimes though. turn signals work.

List of all the things that worked, but stoped working at the SAME time.
*everything on dummy cluster Besides the time.
*A/C control panel<-- worked perfectly, now i when i hit switch blower wont turn on.
*SHift up indicator
*fuel, oil press, boost, tach, water temp
*All the buzzers for the dummy cluster and other. Low coolant, oil, high rpms, etc
