thats way too much cutting
test fit it, and clear it as you keep test fitting it, so you have juss enough room.

Actually, most of that cutting really was neccesary to get the nut to fit. As I stated, the stuff to the right of the pic was extra where I lost track of where I needed to cut, but the rest I needed to get a good fit of the nut.
To the previous poster, I used the same JB weld (the stuff with 2 tubes you mix together) for my TB mod with no problems. I just ordered all of the s5 coolant hoses and I need to trace down where the problem in my injector clips is, so I should see within a week or two or so if all of this worked. Keep you fingers crossed, because I have been without my poor rx-7 for a year and a half and I really want her to be running again.

Well, its all nice and hard now, and I think it turned out pretty well. Here is a pic of what it looks like:

Now all I have to do is find my damn primary fuel rail and and I try to get this thing running again.

Another option is to braze it. I've used some aluminum brazing rods (from the local welding shop) with my MAPP/oxygen torch to repair a radiator and they worked brilliantly.

I really need to take some welding classes.... This is one of many times I've wished I knew how to do it. Maybe once I finish my degree I might take an intro class or something.
