drift suspension

This drift season is officially over ....Now time to beast the car up for next season. Anyway I drove my T2 during the season, but on stock suspension. I have decent power, but need to get the suspension correct. Anybody that drifts their T2 please give me some advice on what setup to get. I want to know what setups people are running and how it is doing for them.

Thanks

I am running the Tokico 5-ways with SUSTEC GF210 springs. To be perfectly honest, I hate the suspension setup. I drifted an FC with Hypermax D coilovers, and it was a completely different car. No drama, no snapping, just a nice transition to the slide. I plan to get coilovers now.

My friend and I ran the Zeal V6 coilovers with race springs (10k front and 8k rear) on our drift car for the last two seasons. Great coilovers. No problems whatsoever. Smooth transitions and easy adjustability from drift to track sessions. They're a little more expensive but definitely worth the money.

2 seasons, ~30,000 miles on them, and no leaking, creaking, or breaking.

Both the Zeals, we used the Cusco Zero2Rs. Great suspension setup also, but they were getting old and had many miles on them. Getting Cusco coilover rebuilt was very hard because of the repair time. We couldn't afford having no suspension for a month or two.

Zeals turnaround time would fairly fast. 2 to 3 weeks if you have problems or need rebuilding.

That was by far and away the most intelligent answer ever. At the advice of someone that doesn't even have full command of the english langauge, I intend to go "ill myself. with a K"

Where thows coil overs and your setup a progressive or linier spring?

Also was your method of style power over, e brake or did you body roll into your drifts?

When I drove the car with the Hypermax Ds, I used power over on a left sweeper, left foot brake on a tight transition, and a feighnt on the right sweeper. Body roll on that car was pretty much non-existant, although you could shift the weight a little.

FC's have the best setup for motorsports.

anyways on on the drift setup

eibach sways, with tein ha's. wide offset in front 4neg degrees camber, shitty offset in rear.
two clicks from stiff in front and stiff in rear.

Could you please tell me a car that was specifically designed to drift here on american shores?

There are none and thats why you make one your self and it is not always as much the car as it is the driver anyways. Ever seen the FF Falken Civic Drift car you could definately say that this car is not desinged to drift or "drag its butt" but it does quite impressively.

wheel base geometry , turning moment and overall weight balance...

the very thing thing that makes the FC3S a 'poor' candidate for drifting is what makes it VERY good for Touge or time attack.. Investly what makes the S13 a very good drift car makes it a **** poor track car. That being said you can DO both with either, and their are some very good pro D1 drivers driving FC's as well as very good time atack cars that are 'S' chassis...
