dragging brakes

dragging brakes

on my 87 n/a, the tires are hard as hell to rotate when the car's lifted up. they just got new pads about 1-2k mi ago. are there any write-ups for a solution?

how do i check for these springs? is this the only possible solution?

Your caliper may also be bad. I had that problem (brake dragging), when I went to change the pads and rotate the piston back in, it was extremely difficult. Then the caliper wouldn't squeeze the pad at all, and started leaking fluid. Replaced it with a rebuilt unit from Discount Auto.

how can i check if the caliper's bad? i mean it brakes and everything, the brakes feel excellent when i come to a stop.

ok so wen i go to lift the car up next time, check the v-springs and check the pistons (how would i do that?)

btw it drags on all fours.

ok i've FINALLY got the new lines installed. no difference. but the guys at the shop told me that the tires shouldnt be running freely (when lifted up) to begin with because of the driveshaft or something.

after getting the lines installed, the brakes felt almost the same as from before. everybody told me SS lines would blow my mind but nieh, they feel the same!

the front wheel, u should be able to spin it and it will keep spining

rear, if u arent in gear, u shoudl be able to spin it and it will spin for a bit on its own

see thats the thing, none of them spin....you can spin them with your own force but once you let go of the tire, they stop.
