Thumbs down Drag times

I ran at sears yeaterday and something didn't please me at all....I ran a 16.8 at 80 some miles...Lucky my friend, another wankel head who knows more than mee, said my ports aren't opening...he said this gives me 20% more power..my R/T was a good .685, my launch does need a bit more work, and i was runnin stock rims and cheap azz tires..also conciderin i am a N/A induction, non turbo..i was not pleased..i shifted at 7.5...check this out...my only mods are intake, dual apexi n1 exhaust with piping, all cats and resonators, and stripped interior. Does anyone think i should juss NOS my engine, or maybe buy more parts, or turbocharge it like that guy did on his NA?

This has nothing to do with your ET, but .685 is not a good RT.

What do you mean????
.500 is a perfect RT. .685 isn't too bad at all.

Maybe if you've never been before. Go tell someone that drag races alot that a .685 is good and watch them laugh.

.685 is ****.
best I've ever got (when in the POS fiero, too!) was .557 or something
and I could have done better than that, I think anything worse than .6 is awful
even .55x isn't the greatest

if you do alot of drag racing, you can get within .005 pretty regularly.
launch on 3rd yellow!

it should be noted that being within .005 is REALLY REALLY good, and takes tons of practice.
but within 15-20 runs down the 1/4 you should be within .08

He wants to know drag times not reaction times. Reaction time is only worth mentioning if you're bracket racing. So everyone please just post your drag times.

Thanx

Again, like the other thread, this is about typical times an NA would be doing given your set-up.&nbsp I don't know why you are bitching for.
