Don't forget the one behind the door handle. Take out the tiny screw, pull the plastic piece off (carefully) and there should be a big one behind that.

heres a pic of the brace that comes with the power regulator motor for the window , now looking at the middle bracket , thats the one that comes out with the motor, it has two bolts up top and one down at the bottom, but the bracket also has two bolts it looks like that need to be unscrewed from the inside where the bracket hooks up to the window. and theres a smaller bracket that guides the window up and down to the left of it that looks like it needs to come out also, i was reading the manual and it says just the main bracket and the motor come out, does the whole fricken window have to come out also???? please advise before i f-----ck this thing up , lol thanks

We're a good bunch here so to justify the lack of responses, not a lot of us have probably done this job on convertibles (I have on coupes and I'm sure a lot of us have too). The design is similar. You have your regulator *motor* spining, but the cables are probably toast. Yes, you definitely have to remove the window. As far as the regulator is concerned, you just have to focus on the bolts that hold the regulator and motor.

Once again, I haven't done this on a convertible, but you shouldn't in principle have to worry about window guides. To remove the window, you have to move the window up and down until the two bolts (or one at a time) align with holes or cutouts in the door frame. The bolts usually screw into a plastic clip that is clipped on to the glass and tightens around it when the screw is in. I hope this helps somewhat...see below - one pic. shows a very suspicious hole in the frame that a window bolt may lign up with, the other pic shows where the glass usually bolts up to the regulator. Take your time. As you pull out the window, when it's half way, you may have to tilt the back up - you're gentle and try a few positions, it'll come out
