this is a second gen section, the thermo-fan pulls air over both the radiator and the oil cooler. of course i only let an engine idle for about 30 minutes before i drive it but it won't kill the engine to let it idle for the first few hours of break in.


you are comparing apples to oranges in a peach section.

 

Would the thermo plug make a differince in the discussion?? This was a mod that i did include. I figured cold oil is way better than no oil.

 

128 miles motor running great. Had it up to 5k rpms. Found a coolant leak. fixed coolant leak maybe.

When the motor gets hot it pushes coolant into the overflow bottle. When it cools down it draws it back in form the bottle.....right?? If there was a small leak would that mess up the whole system?? Keep it from working?? I mean going back and forth from the over flow bottle? I keep having to bleed the air out.
