Question dont wanna blow again...help

I blew my engine. I had the car for 6 days. i belive it was due to running lean and having a mediocre charging system to boot). I have an 87 turbo 2 with racing beat full turbo exhaust and a k&n. Under heavy boost the car just crapped the bed. I know the fuel systems are known for starving engines under heavy boost and the pump was not rewired (it was a fairly new bosch).

i ordered a new engine, bone stock.

what needs to be done to keep this from happening again.

I am thinking.

guages: boost, afr and fuel pressure

should I rewire the pump or get a "boost a pump" or both and a fuel pressure regulator. or could I pull it off with a apex-i s-afr (?).

What constant pressure should I hold, fuel psi, I mean. I know Ive said alot. I hope you catch my drift.

thanks guys

Buy or make an FCD, with a full exhaust, you'll need it. Get a Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump, too.

OH YEAH!

I have the Racing Beat FCD.

Is the walbro 255 better than the bosch?

you need a bigger than stock fuel pump like the walbro, and to keep the boost under 9-10 psi. oh and while you have the turbo off port the wastegate, you were probably running 14psi in the upper gears

oh yeah

my fuel pump isnt stock, it the bosch unit. waste gate is a good idea.

should a rewire the bosch pump? or can I get away with just a boost a pump (kenne bell). I thin the alternator is bad sinc ethe guy I bought it from said "the car eats batteries".

OR

what fuel pressure regulators do you guys recommend?
