Allow me to rant for a moment!

The position that the RB 3in downpipe puts the o2 sensor in sucks, alot. With the damn AC lines and brake lines down there and having it at an angle, its a PITA to get a socket over the sensor. Bah!!!!

Sounded more like a rant then a rank to me.

Are you using a proper O2 sensor socket or trying to manage with the wrong tool? The proper socket helps alot. Swivel extensions are also great for circumstances like these...

I was using the deep socket with the slit on the side, I could never get it at the proper angle. Im thinking I might just take the DP off. And I tried to edit the title, but it obviously didnt work.

Im trying to find one of these locally:

Most auto part stores should have the crowfoot style wrench. They're very common around here...

The local autoparts store doesnt carry them, Im gonna go to the nearest sears and see if they will have one hopefully. Either than, or Im borrowing a friends air tools and just pulling the DP off.

I bought a new o2 sensor and the socket to change it last summer, but I never did get the old one out ... I tried about 5 times with the engine warm, cold, hot, made no difference... I even got some of my buddies who are a little bulkier than me to give it a shot, noone had any luck. I think I'm going to end up asking a mechanic with air tools to loosen it up for me.
