Doing A Full S4 To S5 Swap
This is involving interior front and rear bumper tails. most importantly a full s4 to s5 motor swap.
i have already swapped over engine wiring harness' and ecu. in process of getting motor to go in. when i do im going light wieght aluminum flywheel. i know i will need a s5 flywheel it has an s5 tranny in the s4. now as for counter wieghts i know i have to replace the rear the engine had an auto tranny would i need a new front counter wieght as well?
i am doing emmisons removal all except bac. staying with all s5 mani's going to try the s4 fuel rail to replace the pd and use the banjo bolt(decided what the hell ill give it a try). im going to remove the thermostat on the front of the eccentric shaft and use the mazda trix plug to get oil to it at all times. urathane motor tranny and diff mounts. oil pan baffle. tb mod use the s5 throttle cable. do some engine and intake mani porting work. unbolt the belted fan (no ac, power steering, or smog pump). already have an efan on a s5 rad in the s4. any suggestions or ideas?
