I just put in a street/strip clutch. Replaced everything. Throwout bearing, pilotbearing and seal. Stainless steel clutch hose. After that, I bled it the regular way then did a gravity bleed. Then my own method of tube and gatorade bottle full of fluid. And it disingages the clutch when its in. But it feels a tad bit loose at the top. Or like not as hard to push down as the old one. Is that normal?

That's how mine felt after it was installed. I have the clutchmaster FX-100. The pedal feels softer and requires less force to disengage. I am used to it now though.

The clutch plate itself will make the car feel grabbier.. However.. Its the pressure plate that makes the difference in pedal feel...

If the clutch kit you used have less spring pressure on the pressure plate... the clutch will feel softer...

I have a 460ft/lb ACT HD Disk.. the clutch itself is pretty smooth, but there is a hell of a lot more *** required to push in the pedal... I've driven a car with the same pressure plate, but a 6 puck clutch plate... same pedal force, but it grabbs like a sumbitch

Ya mine grabs hard. I kind of like the lighter pedal. I was just making sure I didnt have air in the line. Cause that 350$ would be gone way to fast.

if its a street/strip clutch (slightly more holding pressure), the pressure plate should be heavier than stock.

My pressure plate is supposed to be stiffer than the stock one, yet the pedal feels softer. I think it has to do with the slave cylinder which I had replaced also. The old one was beginning to stick I guess.

Which clutch did you get Camrann??

Could still be a hydraulic problem, have someone pump the pedal for you and bleed that way. Also a good time to upgrade to DOT4.

I have dot 4. And i have bled it three different ways. I also took the slave cylinder apart and checked seals. Its fine. I don't see any places where a leak could be.

This probably isnt the same thing but I just put a LUK Heavy *** hauling clutch in my F350 work truck and it was very soft for about 2 days and then went back to normal. I know its not a RX but it may do the same thing.

well, about the DOT4, I was just sayin it would be a good idea, it shouldnt change the feel of the pedal. The only thing i can tell you is if you replace hydraulic parts like a master or slave cyl. then you should prime them with brake fluid before putting them back on. Also bleed like i said before until there is a nice strong stream of fluid (no bubbles) comin out.

i got the act hdss kit andit only has about 2000 miles on it it was super hard to the push at first and grabbed like hell but now its soft and its slow to return i hope i havent stripped it i dont drive the sevenhard due to fuel delivery probs so im worried now

Thanks guys for the advice. I think im giving up though. I would rather just buy afternarket ones. The stock ones are a joke anyways. The others will have alot better reading anyways.
