Does this sound fuel related?

Does this sound fuel related?
So I replaced the water pump in my NA S5 and when I went to take it out for a drive I couldn't get it to start. So I gave it some guess while trying to crank the motor and it finally started.
Once I started driving it felt like it was trying to die out again unless I was giving it gas which leads me to believe it's fuel related.
Any ideas what I should check first? Haven't had a chance to check the filter or anything so I was just wondering if anyone could tell me where to start?

Check all the electrical connections around the area you were working on.
any connections that got "hit" with coolant would compromise that Connection and you could have an Intermittent Connection.
chack and dry off any connection in that area and spray them with a good Contact cleaner.
by the way did you reconnect the Water Temp sender on the Back of the Water pump housing?

sooo...I feel completely f***ing retarded..I just now noticed that the car is missing the snorkel portion of the intake unless for some reason this part isn't on the N/A cars?
Anyway could that have something to do with it as well? Either way I feel pretty stupid not noticing that..lol....*puts on noob protection suit*

Ok..make sure the Piping is There between the Throttle body and the AFM.
tighten the clamps.
There is a Hose also (well there is on an S4 N/a) that needs to be Hooked up too.
Make sure that the AFM is on and the Connector is Clipped in.
try that out and see.
You'd be surprised at how many guys forget to Put stuff back on,around that Area, when they work on the car.( so don't feel bad.)..#1 is not connecting the AFM!.
Good luck!STYX!~

bumping my thread for another question.
My grandfather went to autozone today to get some parts and told the guy what the rx7 is doing (everything except that I needed to push down the clutch and gas at the same time to start it) and the employee said something about it's the air control valve?
Anyway..$500 part that I've never heard of having an issue on these cars in my months of research before my purchase? Anyone have input on this?
