Does this sound blown to you?
I finally got my 3" turboback in today, and haven't driven the car in a week since I did all the work to it....... well, about 3 hours after getting the exhaust on and doing a couple test runs, I did something stupid. At 12 pounds the AFR's were in the low 11's so I was beating the **** out of the car, and mis-shifted to 2nd. Well, as soon as I got it back in gear, it was running on 1 rotor and wouldn't accelerate at all. Luckily I was on some backroads so I got it home, barely, where it just shut off. I checked all over for vacuum leaks, got nothing, no blown off intercooler hoses or anything, and when turning it over, there is an obvious miss in compression. I gave up on trying to start it tonight, cause it's dark out, and it flooded out, but I will check the compression tomorrow. I'm pretty sure the test will confirm what I fear....... but does that sound pretty typical for a blown something or another?
With the AFR good I can see why you wouldn't expect it to detonate.
Hitting the rev limiter is rarely a problem.
Before pulling it, I'd pump some MMO in the leading plug hole of the low compression chamber & let it soak a day, in case it's just a stuck seal.

Took out a plug, only 1 face with compression on back rotor. It is soaking in ATF now........ I checked the turbo and it is still spinning freely, really no indication if anything went out through it I guess, though. I got my fingers crossed for a stuck seal, but I doubt I will get that lucky. It wouldn't be very likely for a seal to stick like that would it?
^It would if it was sitting for an extended period of time without proper storage preparations, as well as being driven softly for much of it's life. Carbon locked and siezed apex seals are common when that happens.

MaczPayne is right. A stuck seal is usually from storing or overbabying.
But - when you buzzed it some of the carbon flying loose may not have blown out cleanly.
It's a long shot, but it's worth a try.
Good luck,
