Those stickers are getting very rare. They were a port installed sticker found on the rear windows of coupes for each year Mazda won the IMSA GTU championships.

That would be wrong...

While yes they shared some of the things a Turbo had (like a rear spoiler, and shocks (but not spings), the 89-90 GTU is not any more a Turbo model than any other non turbo.

Even the famed 89-90 GTUs model only got the seats from a Turbo, but retained all the same non turbo driveline and suspension.

And there was no such thing as a 91 GTU model. In 91 there was only the coupe, the Turbo and the convertible.

Why doesn't somebody make replicas of these stickers? I would love to have one, because I scrapped mine off to tint my rear glass. Anybody wanna do it?

Icemark he was talking about the '88 GTU. I don't know if that changes your answer but from what I hear it's comparable to the S5 GTUs in terms of suspension and as far as the "turbo without a turbo" statement goes. Icemark can probably clarify this.

EDIT: Nevermind, I saw that he had an '88 GXL. I skimmed over the GXL part and assumed he just had an '88. Oh well maybe he was asking about the '88 GTU?

they are interesting to have, atleast it shows our cars do have a solid racing history, ive seen them on many s4/s5's but not in a long time, i guess as time goes on people take them off or they fall off, a replica would be nice.
