does this make any sense?
ok so i was working at kragen yesterday so this guy came in looking for clutch fluid so naturally i gave him dot 3 brake fluid. anyways he said he was selling his car. after i asked what car said rx7 and my eyes lit up. but there was one thing that kinda troubled me. he said that the car wasnt startinng cause there was no clutch fluid and the clutch wasnt engaging. does tat make any sense cause im planniing on buying the car....

No, it doesn't.
Make sense, I mean.
The clutch pedal does have to be depressed when starting- there is a switch, similar to the brake light switch, on the pedal- but that switch could care less if there is fluid in the system or not.
Assuming the transmission is not stuck in gear, if the pedal is pushed in, the car should start.

That sort of switch seems almost bulletproof and your (potential) car has something else going on if it's not starting.
Let him go ahead and refill/bleed the clutch hydraulics though...one less thing for you to do.
