engine yes, but not the engine and transmission together, you would need to secure the front AND rear iron to hold that weight. even then that is iffy.

the front iron can hold alot of horizontal weight but once it begins to move even slightly vertical it will show any weaknesses.

use the long starter bolt and the long 7 o'clock transmission bolts as guides to slide it on.

sometimes putting the transmission into gear and the driveshaft in the transmission while rotating it will mesh the splines on the clutch to engine. this may require 2 people unless you like moving around a bit.

transmission to engine angle is very important, especially if you are using the pilot bearing seal, as the trans input loves to get hung up on the seal if the angle is not perfect.

all else fails try re-aligning the clutch. if it is off a little bit it will bind up on install.

I would offer to help, but I'm on a time crunch for my own car. It isn't too bad, especially with the lighter NA trans.

I dropped the hole assembly on the floor when I installed the trans. It was easier to adjust plus I kept the engine on the hoist as to raise or lower it for alignment. Was one of the easiest things done to my GXL
