Does the fan need to come off to change the belts?

Hi guys,

I have a new-to-me '88 RX-7GXL. I am going to do a tune up to make sure everything is good-to-go. I was looking at the belts this afternoon and wondering if thre is a way to get the two belts that are "captured" by the fan off without removing the fan.

Thanks in advance,

Jim Moore

NO, work the belts inbetween the blades, that allows for more room to clear the opposite blades. pretty easy, i just suck at explaining.

You can do it without removing the fan. I just removed the fan, but that was because I was doing some other stuff anyway.
