Does anyone use a popoff valve?

No, not a BOV, a popoff valve. My old 280zxt used to have one. When I was browsing a website looking for some fittings I came across Adjustable popoff valves. Our cars don't have them, it might be a good idea to run one.

Basically what it does is vent manifold preasure once it gets past a certain preasure. It doesn't allow you to run higher boost, and the only time it makes a WhooosH sound is when it saves your engine, but its a good safety mod. If you get a spike in boost preasure it vents it to the atmosphere instead of blowing your apex seals.

If you goto www.mcmaster.com and search for 'pop-safety valve' there is some good information.

I had thought about it, but later decided that there wasn't really a good place to mount one, and also I decided that I didn't really need it either...
