NY does anyone know what gasket this is ?

i have a leak in this thing i dont know its exact name. so i need the name or part number for this gasket im not getting no kind of system pressure so my car can cool down properly. i dont know if u can tell but around where the bolts are at u can see residue from coolant and water mix and u can actually see the dark part which is still wet from when the car was on i have a 87 T2 . ive tried making a gasket with "gasket maker " but that sh*t does not work. ive searched the forums and googled all day but no luck .

that is the coolant filler neck. There is no gasket there, there is an o-ring on the neck where it bolts to the top of the thermostat housing. It could also be that the cap is bad and leaking.

IMO, those stupid *** vented caps like you have are all junk. You really need to go get a mazda cap.

if your coolant is leaving that much residue you need to flush it out and refill with a proper mix.

get a dual pass radiator. koyo seems to be going downhill lately but as long as its legit, it should be fine.

The N/dual flow Koyos fit it you use S5 brackets or elongate the holes on the current S4's.

Replace that plastic piece with this: http://www.mazdatrix.com/getprice.as...m=15-17Y0-N323. IIRC, it should come with the filler cap but no o-ring, ask them to make sure. No more leaks for me!
