transmission swap?

transmission swap?

My 5 speed engine crocked ... so everyone said the trans swap would be easyer...
I have a parts car with a broke *** auto in it...
So i started to do the swap...
after the pain of removing it all ...
the 5 speed will not mount up...
the crossmember is way off...
wtf????
am i doing somthing wrong?
Isnt this suposto be easy?

the auto crossmember is in a different location, you can find a writeup on rotary ressurection's website for a cheap ad easy fix but to do it right requires getting the mounts from your car and welding them into the auto chassis.

i keep seeing this said lately, too bad all the old folks are gone to rip into the newbs who keep spewing that everything is cake and takes 5 minutes with an e-bay ECU chip.
