Around 6am go to your mail box and wait for the paper boy to come by. Or check out the vendors section on the forum.

dude aftermarket fiberglass body pieces suck. they're too flimsy and fragile. There are carbon fiber T2 hoods but they are like $800. Do yourself a favor and get an OEM aluminum T2 hood and latch. It will actually fit properly and it's almost as light as carbon fiber and fiberglass.

you can still buy em new at the dealership, but um expensive.

i remember one time this 16 year old came in to the dealership and asked for one.

i say, its really expensive

he says its ok, its my graduation present, my parents are buying it

apparently his grades were not THAT good.

most places that sell "CF" hoods will make you one in plain glass, or just paint that hood in whatever color you like

you might get real lucky and find someone selling one, but it almost always has to be local otherwise you will be spending the same as a new fg hood

LOL I'm curious how much they go for brand spanking new?

I remember stopping in my local stealership to price leather seat covers for my vert.....talk about sticker shock.

Most "carbon fiber" hoods are really just fiberglass hoods with a carbon fiber layer on top for looks.

Shine makes a lot of budget knock-offs of the expensive Japanese body kits, and they have been a sponsor of this forum for many years:
http://www.shineautoproject.com/

Mariah also sells body kits:

If you just want cheap, flimsy, racing type body parts for your race car, then register with Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development and order parts through them:
http://www.mazdaspeeddevelopment.com/index.php

If you just want a TII hood, you can buy a nice used aluminum hood for about half the price of a new composite hood.

Ebay has a bunch. To the OP check ebay and you should be able to find one fairly close.

Cost of the OEM aluminum hood from MazdaSpeed , pn F049-52-310P (if I looked it up correctly, I'm pretty sure I did): $1072.08. Which will put other prices in a bit of perspective.

FWIW, I paid $230 for my used aluminum TII hood - which had been resprayed in a dark metallic purple, with questionable prep/skill. Or, had I been quicker to the draw, I could have had a nice, clean white one at the local pick'n'pull for $40, but by the time I came back the next day with a vehicle I could take it with, it was gone.
