AZ does anybody know ?

will the anti-theft box being removed affect the car not starting? this is a all stock s-4 system. I had to remove mine due to a small electrical short lol.

You have to jumper the plug in order for the car to start.

You sure about that? I have no theft, but I looked at the diagrams, and if there is a Starter Cut Relay installed in the car, the contacts in that relay will *make* if the relay is NOT pulled in. Which means to me that the engine should start.

I could be wrong since I don't have Theft and never have.

From what I read he removed the relay... I thought you needed that jumper plug if the relay is gone.. What do I know;..

Yeah. If the relay is removed you gotta put a jumper b/t the B/W and B/G, just like the non theft cars have in the Blue jumper plug under the Trail coils.

Hope J-Rat hasn't been reading any of my comments on E-85 usage. humor

Hmmm not sure im doing this to the right wires lol. can someone make this crew chief proof for me? still turing over but losing spark after a sec or two

yeah this is like my third AFM that i have got from checker. remanned of course. But it will sort of run with the wrong AFM in it. Is it possible that checkers has given me three bad AFMs?

The only way a afm can cause no spark, is if it's internals short out the ref voltage from the ECU. So it's simple to see if this is happening. The boost/pressure sensor also shares the ref voltage. So pull its plug off and see if there is approx 5vdc on the brown/white wire of the pressure sensor. IF it's there, with the afm plug on the afm, then the afm is not *bad*.

So check that brown/white wire for 5vdc.

Sounds to me like there is a severe flooding condition and the spark plugs are fouled preventing spark. Just a wag. Never get new Trail plugs. Just buy two new lead plugs and try again.

Actually it's pretty easy to see if the afm is any good or not. Go to the FSM Control Unit page. Find the output of the afm with key just to ON. Measure it. Compare it to the FSM values. That at least will tell you if it's working or not. Then push the vane in the afm aft. The voltage should go down as you move it aft. If it does all that, then most likely it's not the afm.

could I have a bad boost sensor causing this problem or is this not a possible senario?
