do you know ????

hi to all, it's been a while since i've been here. since last time i found another 88vert, no motor, pretty bad shape interior shot no radio ect no bbs wheels. you get the picture. now if there was any way in the world that i could restore this one i would- trust me cause i have a 88 vert and i love it. i thought about keeping this one for a parts car but i've changed my mind and i think i want to put a v-6 ( no flames please i love my 13-b ) in it. i have considered a ford 3.8 or a ford probe v-6 or a mx-6 engine for it. or even a 5.0 ford.. who here has done this or knows where i can research it ? all comments and ideas welcome. thanks again and it's good to be back home again . Peace ex...

You should definitely go with th Ford Taurus SHO engine. It is a 3.0 liter V-6 made by Yamaha that can easily put out 300 hp naturally aspirated. I have owned two of these and absolutely LOVED them. I had them chipped and they would rev effortlessly over 9000 rpms with one of the sweetest sounds this side of Ferrari. Check out shotimes.com of shoforum.com for more info!

I went to: http://members.tripod.com/~grannys/rx7.html
I found all i needed to know i wanted to do the same thing to my 88 parts car. Honestly though I would put in a small V-8 then you could pretty much smoke anything on the highway that isnt a trailer queen.

How would you go about tackling that whole "transverse mounting" problem?
