do regular stands work?

i heard stories of regular engine stands that work with 13b's wihtout needing the adapter....is this true? let me know. if i can get around not making an adapter, i would like to do so.

Ive never heard that before, always thought it needed the adapter. Maybe theres a stand just ment for 13bs.

I use a regular stand that has been drilled for the rotary engine front plate... the drawback is that it is slightly off balance

Drill some 1/2 inch holes in the plate, that match up to the mount for the power steering and A/C bracket

I found a guy in my town that races FBs and he uses a standard stand to hold his motors. As long as the plate has long slots (that the arms would be bolted to) you can just bolt the front plate to it. Otherwise, drill holes like Icemark said.
