is the turn signal lense nessesary????

hey all. i was wondering if i would pass state inspection if i were to leave the side turning lenses out and fill the spaces in . anyone done this?

Im pretty sure they are required in all US states.

Most states require a white or amber foward facing parking light, as well as amber front turn signals
