To Do List with drivetrain swap

Hey everyone,

I'm doing a T2 drivetrain swap in preparation for some power modifications in the future. Figured I'd get input on what else I should do while the whole bottom of the car is out.

So far my list includes:

- Rebuild calipers
- Replace brake lines
- Replace clutch line
- Replace bushings
- Add subframe spacers
- Reinforce subframe welds
- Clean and rust reform everything

Anything else I should add to my list?

Id focus on 5 lug swap and lsd if you dont have it already. They support the oem brembos. Youre on the right track. Always do maintinence up to par then do performance mods. Id then do exhaust and alum driveshaft with those also prior to t2 since theyre most of the parts that will transfer over without being internal with the swap

Thanks for the response Recian, I've got 5 lug and 4 piston calipers to go into her in addition to the T2 tranny, driveshaft, lsd, halfshafts and full rear subframe. Exhaust I'm holding off on since mine is already custom and I don't want to dump money into it until my turbo plans are solidified. In the spring I'll be popping a bridgeported rew into her but still unsure on what single turbo will be accompanying it.

Ive heard theres issues getting the rew into the fc chassis. I think its the location of the mounts? Not 100% positive

Custom mounts are required, luckily I have a very skilled mechanic as excited to complete the project as I am.
