Do I need spacers to use FD wheel?

I have a s4 turbo two rx7. I just inherited 3rd gen wheels.. I heard i dont need spacers for the rear, but I must use some for the front. What size do I need, and where do I get them?

yes you do and i believe you need 1/4 inch spacers . i think its in the faq. at the top of the thread page. plus i think you may want to get all 4 spacers that way your fronts dont stick out more the the rears but then again they may not . dont know . just search you you shall find

You need more than 1/4". I needed nearly (not quite) an inch to clear the front struts. The rears will fit without spacers but it looks funny as they sit in so far.

you don't need spacers... you need ADAPTERS... they are 25mm, .(4mm shy of one inch) and you bolt those to the hub and then the wheel to the adapter. And you'd better use a friggin torque whench cause now your wheels will have TEN bolts in the mix and now you'll have a 1 inch hunk of aluminum to muck about with as well.

Now for the brow beating... DONT FRIGGIN DO IT. Buy wheels that fit.

I used longer 3rd gen. Corvette ARP studs which were extremely strong with custom made spacers that I turned on a lathe out of steel. I thought it was a better option over aluminum adapters. That was years ago when I last had that car so the setup is long gone but I used to autocross on it all the time with no issues. That's something I wouldn't do with aluminum adapters.

i used 1" (little less) spacers for mine. they bolt to the hub with their own bolts, then you use the other set of bolts to put the wheels on the adapters. it's kind of like putting on a longer hub... you can find them on ebay. and yes it does look awkward if you dont get spacers for the rear.
