Do i need to port a Jspec s5 turbo?

I am going to be putting an s5 turbo and manifold on my s4 soon as well as 3" exhaust. Seems like somebody told me that on a jspec turbo u dont need to port the wastegate to eliminate boost creep. Something about it having two holes instead of one. Any truth to this? Thanks....

No, no truth at all.

_All_ S5 turbos have two holes....
They are the same size everywhere...

....S4's only have one tiny hole.....

Why do so many people think the differences between S4 and S5 are actually US-spec vs. J-spec? Turbos, engines, tailights...

Anyone would think there are no S5's in the US.

Was thinking the same thing, I came to the conclusion they only get S5 engines from jap importers AND they have no S5 TII's over there

I'm in the same boat but I have the Jspec sitting in my garage.

I've got the turbo hot side already opened up to get ready to port it.

The S5 turbo is less likely to creep but given the chance it will. I am porting it just to be ready for any thing I mod down the road.

You won't know that until you have the whole thing running with all planned mods. Then if it creeps you have to pull it all off again. Since it's off just port it any way. Bigger is always better with wastegates.
