Do I need a new turbo?

I've always had a small issue with blue smoke coming out my exhaust on cold start ups, but lately its been getting worse, and while I normally run 9.5 lbs of boost under full throttle, for the past two days I've been getting 6 flat. Tonight testing boost again I ran 7 lbs till 6500 rpms and it dropped a tad below 6 lbs afterwards.

check my garage for car mods. Turbo shaft play was minimal when we installed the engine 4 months ago and I haven't been real hard on it. No burn outs and the like. Most WOT applications have been gradual..

I'll take off the TID in the morning and check for shaft play. Any up front ideas on severity?

Is there blue smoke or black smoke during acceleration / WOT? Also check for shaft play. If it move then u must have blown a turbo seal.

Other than my fiance telling me my car smells like rank *** ( She says she turns on her recirc and can still smell it ) when she's following behind me, she says that my car doesn't smoke but tiny little puffs every once and awhile when up shifting.

She told me today when we drove tested it, that when I started; big plums of dark blue smoke came out the mufflers for about20 seconds. I wasn't paying attention behind me to verify, but I have had other people cold start my car and I was able to ascertain that the smoke was indeed the fresh burned oil blue coming out of the exhaust.

Well rotary engine does burn oil, and its normal to see it during a cold start up so yea. Smoke puff during shifting is not a good sign.

I've heard many descriptions of how these cars smell, but rank *** wasn't one of them.

Well I checked the shaft on the input side and there was very little shaft play. But there seems to be oil leaking into the intercooler, I noticed a good slick of oil on the inside of the hose
