Do I need a new dashboard?

Hey I discovered something new on my 89 vert and was wondering if I need a whole new dashboard. I was going to remove my gauges when I noticed that the plastic part that is attached with all of the switches(turning signal, wipersignal, hazards, etc.) was glued on. Because the plastic part behind it wasn't there it was broken which I think is par t of the dashboard so it can't be screwed on. Does anyone know if I need a whole knew dashboard and if I do doesn anyone know where I can find one?

u're talking about the gauge bezel, with the 3 holes on top where it's supposed to be screwed to the dash?

sorry about the repeat..my computer's wacky, not necessarily. sounds like the bracket for the holes is broken. i had the same problen wit mines so i screwed it in through the sides of the bezel. i wouldnt recommend glueing it back cuz it may ruin the dash. is the bracket there and how's the condition of it?

You might be able to do some plastic repair, or rebuild the tabs. but if that's a skill you or your friends don't possess, yes, you'll have to get a new dash board. Either that, or just glue the bezel back on.

plastic weld it back on..... do a search on the net and buy a kit.... I had same problem. These cars are OLD and most of the plastic is falling apart EX: demister grills, center consols, a/c vents, indiot light bezels, turn and cruise control switches and yes... even plastic in and behind the dash boards.

Well condition of it is really bad. And it came like that when I bought it but I don't know about rebuilding it with a kit but I guess I'm going to have to buy the dashboard unless anybody else has any other solutions.
