Question do i just suck at shifting or is it something else?

well i was racing some accord 5 speed it was on a roll. welp i shift up to third and it starts grinding so i try to put it into 5th and still the same thing then finally it goes in. i swear i was slamming the clutch while doing this. is it me or is it tranny fluid or syncros. i dunno. well when i down shift from 5th at 2 rpm down to third it will grind while im slamming the clutch. but it wont, if i rev it around the correct rpm around 5 around there.

oh and i still beat the accord. hehe. plz someone help.

My old n/a used to do that. When it happens release the clutch and then put it in again and put 'er into gear again. My syncro's were a tad messed up but they werent too bad either.

Put redline mt-90 into your tranny, lsd additive for your lsd. Also, when you are throwing a shift from like 5th to 3rd rev match, and dont slam the shifter. Just shift it quickly.

I always heard that if your going to down shift and skip a gear you should be double clutching, clutch once in between in neutral, this true?

Just match RPMs and you don't have to double clutch, unless your syncros are shot!

double clutch or match rpm. Even if your synchros are good it's still easier on them to match the rpm before shifting.
