Unhappy Do boost gauges come w/ the TII?

Yeah, just trying to expand my knowelege of FCs. this is probably a dumbass question and if so please forgive me. I just wanted to know if the FC TIIs came with the turbo and boost gauges already in, or do you have you have to buy/ install some yourself?

Wrong.
Please do not spread false information, as it's a bannable offense here - see FAQ stickies.

The boost gauge gets a direct signal from the boost sensor itself.
It is documented in the FSM in the wiring diagram section.
The signal is not molested by the stock ECU or any other electronics in between.

If that is the case Ted then I am honestly mistaken. I have not looked this up personally however I was told this by a very reputable RX7 mechanic.

If the information I gave was wrong there was no intent to mis-lead anyone.

Careful how quick you accuse people of intentionally giving wrong information.

In all honesty you could have answered your own question with a quick search, on google or even this forum.

As per UNIVERSAL gauges, you just wire those the same you would with any other car.

+1

Rotary mechanics should either 100% know what the hell they're talking about, or stay as an apprentice until they know 100% of anything that's asked of them. Or they could just say, "I don't know, but I could look it up for you."

Not exactly, you still keep the crappy ones in place but add news one to the setup.

of course you can buy aftermarket gauges, they will cost about $50-$200 each. the stock boost gauge should be fine for stock boost.

Turbo II- So I can't just take the old ones out and put the new ones in where the old ones were? I have to keep the old ones and install new ones?

yea, sucks, don't it?

I always wondered if you could replace the turbo gauge cluster with the na gauge cluster and gain a voltmeter by doing so?

Yes, you can.
The different gauge connect differently, and both will work when you just swap those individual gauge components themselves or swap the entire instrument cluster itself.
