Do all Fc's have Problems with Front tires Griping in the rain? or is it just me?
well if yall would listen instead of bashing on him maybe he would post again ! quit telling him how to drive! just answer the questions if you know and if you dont then shut the hell up!(sorry moderators) i have the same problem but only when i back up in the rain its like the lsd wants to just pull me straight back and not let my front tires turn.
no one will prob read this coz its way at the back but to be honest mate its ur driving
ur car has an lsd and that is always gon act just like a locka if ur going to fast or dont break traction, its just how they work, i have the same prob in the dry here in nz, if i try swing it out round a roundabout it will sledge but as soon as i pop the clutch a little its sideways as a mother fkr!!! just slow down or drift, its the only way heh heh heh

I actually have never lost grip in my front end. But my back end swings around more than a hyperactive dog tail wags.
But I have shitty tires, a lead foot, and the love of scaring everyone shitless at red lights. Nothing's better than intentionally breaking the back tires loose in front of a captive audience.

My first RX-7 ('91 N/A) met an untimely death in the rain. Highway straight, 60MPH, the front end hydroplaned, spun me around twice and wrecked in the ditch destroying most of the suspension in the process. So my answer to your question would be yes, 7's seem to be prone to lose front traction in wet conditions.....just a personal experience
My guess is, provided the suspension is in good shape with no bad shocks/struts, it's bad tires or the wrong tires.
I had some BF Goodrich tires for awhile and they really sucked. I now have some Kumho Ecsta ASX's. A world of difference. There is nothing that changes the handling characteristics of a car as fast or as much as tires. You don't have to spend a fortune, either. I find myself happier with a tire that sacrifices some ultimate dry grip for better wet handling.
Having said that, there is almost no tire in the world that will save you at the beginning of a rain. Especially if it has not rained in a while. The oils and such come up quickly, so give it a little time to wash that away. Ever notice how you seem to have better traction after it has rained for awhile?
