does anyone know cuz i have an 87 GXL and i want to sell the rear end but i dont know wether its limited slip or not ps. its a rolled over parts car so i cant really drive it to tell

All s4 gxl's should have an lsd. It's the s5 gxl's that have them as an option.

 

you can check on the differntial there should be a plate on there that says something about LSD

but i think ALTurbo2 is right, i think all S4 GXL's have LSD

 

All manual tranny series 4 GXLs came standard with a clutch type LSD, however the automatic versions have conflicting reports on wether they were equipped with an LSD.

The only series 5 cars that came standard with an LSD were the T2 and GTUs models. There were a few 91 coupes that had them as an option but no other series 5 cars.

I always forget the auto tranny cars! For some reason, I think of our cars as having only manual transmissions.

I bet there are some Auto RX7s around here that will eat your "peace of crap" up, like that FD in the Kills section that ate up a C5 or something like that.. i forget what the hell it said. Exactly what was the purpose of this post other than to bash other peoples cars? Where are the mods when you need them? Oh yeah, btw, all S4 GXLs do have LSD if they are manual.... just seconding that statement

 

some people arent gifted to know how to drive a stick so man just push the medal to the medal thats too easy and they dont automatically suck they suck after they pop

 

If you look, we have visual confirmation that at least ONE GXL with Automatic Transmission has LSD.

Still looking for indication if the Auto's LSD is 3.9 or 4.1.
